They’re such simple things, really – a postcard, a phone call – yet these reminders helped increase the number of women who visited Kaiser Permanente Northwest for their mammograms, according to researchers. Their hope is that the success of this 35,000-woman study will lead to even more large-scale mammogram reminder programs, which, in turn, could help more women stay well and lead to more lives saved from breast cancer.
